To thoroughly implement the national strategy of building a manufacturing powerhouse and elevate the level of intelligent manufacturing applications and product intelligence, Dongfang Turbine has developed the "Dongfang Electric Intelligent Manufacturing Transformation Three-Year Action Plan (2020-2022)" as guidance, and based on its own practical needs, formulated the "Dongfang Turbine Intelligent Manufacturing '1458' 14th Five-Year Plan Implementation Scheme," proposing a phased strategy for automation, digitalization, and intelligentization, deeply integrating informatization construction, and making every effort to build smart workshops.
Following the significant benefits achieved from the demonstration construction of unmanned operation for large key equipment processing, another breakthrough has been made — the robot automatic sandblasting system has officially gone online. Sandblasting is the final process in steam turbine diaphragm machining, serving to clean the diaphragm steam passage and improve the surface quality of the flow path, thereby ensuring steam turbine power generation efficiency. Dongfang Turbine, following the overall construction approach of the "1458 Plan," deeply explored automation projects to replace manual operations on-site, making sandblasting automation a key core technology for breakthrough.
